LEC Workshop for Law Professors on Public Choice Economics

Program Description:  The goal of the Workshop for Law Professors on Public Choice and the Law is to introduce law professors to the concepts of public choice and positive political economy and how to use those concepts in their research and teaching.  The workshop will be designed to be conceptual rather than technical and will be aimed at introducing participants to the core concepts of public choice theory, including the use of economic concepts to study collective decision-making, the methodology of studying political decision-making as a positive economics discipline, and empirical testing of public choice concepts.

Terms and Conditions:  Refundable Deposit and Honorarium: Accepted applicants must make a $500 deposit bonding their attendance within 30 days of acceptance.  For each workshop, the deposit is refunded within 30 days after successful completion of the workshop.  In addition, an honorarium of $500 is paid within 30 days of successful completion of the workshop.

Due to the nature of our funding, we can only accept applications from the United States and Canada.
