Program Description: As the first meeting of the LEC Privacy Fellows, this workshop will focus on such topics as: the legal framework surrounding the Federal Trade Commission’s consumer protection authority over advertising, privacy, and data security standards; the economics of information and advertising; the economics of privacy; and emerging legal and regulatory issues worthy of economic analysis Confirmed Workshop faculty include: J. Howard Beales III, The George Washington University School of Business; James C. Cooper, George Mason University School of Law; and Paul H. Rubin, Emory University.
