JEP Case Analysis Seminar

Event Date: Thursday, February 5 to Sunday, February 8, 2015

Location: Hawks Cay Resort, 61 Hawks Cay Boulevard, Duck Key, FL 33050

Prerequisite:  Prior completion of an Economics Institute for Judges at George Mason, Northwestern (prior to June 2010), Brookings, Kansas, or Chapman.

Program Description:  Our Case Analysis Seminar Series is designed to introduce and reinforce economic concepts and ideas that are directly relevant to legal and policy analysis. All applicants are required to identify a case that they would like to see analyzed. The case does not have to be one that the applicant has adjudicated. These courses have a limited number of participants to allow for greater interaction and analysis.

Application Process: Applications are due several months in advance. Applications must be complete in order to be considered.  The faculty panel reviews all application materials – with particular emphasis on the selected case and the judge’s rationale for suggesting the case – in order to ensure a thorough and robust curriculum.  All applicants will be notified by specified date as to whether or not they have been accepted into the program.
