Third Annual AGEP Public Policy Conference: State Attorneys General and Public Health

STATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH
In their consumer protection role, state Attorneys General have broad latitude to shape policy in the public health arena. This program will feature a variety of knowledgeable speakers from government, academia and the private sector who will provide a balanced overview of key issues relating to important public health issues of the day. Topics will include food marketing, obesity, and corrective taxation; off-label marketing of pharmaceuticals; and the impact of regulation on consumer incentives and behavior.
Registration begins at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 28.
Program sessions: begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 and conclude at 2:30 on Friday, April 29. All meals will be provided during the program.
Note: Two program slots per state or territory will be reserved until January 1, 2011; thereafter, applications will be reviewed and accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Hotel: Westin Arlington Gateway
The AGEP will reserve and direct pay for participant hotel rooms during the program. The program will also reimburse travel to and from the program up to $500, not including meals consumed en route.
